Education is the key to the future for the children of Zambia and Ethiopia. For children who have lost their parents, the opportunity for a healthy, productive future is dramatically reduced.

Millions of orphaned children are denied the opportunity to attend school because they cannot afford a school uniform, shoes, books or even a pencil.

You can help. You can sponsor a child in school for $150 per year. This pays for 2 uniforms, a pair of shoes and socks, a book bag, pencils, textbooks and school fees.

Sharon

This is Sharon. When she was 12 years old, both her mother and father died. She was sent to live with an elderly grandmother and 2 young cousins. Sharon was forced to leave school and work manual labor in the market to support the family. She has been beaten and abused. Sharon is bright and articulate and she loves school. When asked what we could do to help, her eyes filled with tears and she replied, "Every day, I pray to God that He will send someone to help me. All I want is a pencil and a pair of shoes and to be able to go back to school. I want to be a child again."
