This is the home of Rachel, Elizabeth and Misose. Their parents died in 2002, Rachel became head of household at the age of 12. On the day this photo was taken, the girls had not eaten in 3 days.
Mothers Without Borders is working with local community members to support and care for children like Rachel and her sisters.
We provide staple food items like corn meal, beans, vegetables and cooking oil each month. We give them charcoal and soap, clothing and blankets. We train community care givers and have local volunteers who visit the children once a week. These volunteers teach them in areas of hygiene, cooking, gardening and HIV/AIDS awareness.
Social workers are trying to identify extended family members who will raise the children.
You can make a difference in the lives of children like Rachel, Elizabeth, Misose, Martin and Samuel. Please donate now.
