2008 MWB Boutique

Dear Friends,

We did what many thought was impossible. The Mothers Without Borders Boutique raised over $42,000 for the orphans of Zambia! Hundreds of people accepted the call to give what they could and the result was overwhelming. One of my favorite quotes is by Margaret Mead and says: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. That has never been more true than today." YOU are those people she refers to. You came together and gave of your time, your talents, your influence, and your resources to this great effort and it worked. We knew it would! Thank you from the deepest corner of my heart for sharing in the dream that change really is possible one child at a time.

This year's orphans quilt was entitled Hands of Hope. The quote on the back of the quilt said "if not for hope, the heart would break." Well, there should be no broken hearts among us today. Hope is alive and it is contagious.
